what age can I start formal qualifications?
Our invitee students are aged from 8 years upward. These students are still recreational, however they commence training with Certificate students to see how they fare. There are students that commence a VET certificate as young as 10, depending on their capabilities. If there are any doubts in a parents mind of their students suitability, we make the expectations of VET courses as transparent as possible during auditions and enrollment preparation.
Do i still get an op (uai/vce)?
Yes. VET students whom study their compulsory 3 x subjects via Distant Education or regular schooling and successfully complete their qualification will receive a Year 12 OP score and graduation certificate.
how long do i have to study each qualification?
Vocational Education Training (VET) is competency based study which means you need to prove your competence at each skill in order to progress to the next qualification. Once you have proven competency, you can move forward. The delivery time frame to may also depend on the agreed delivery length agreed upon during enrollment. Fees may apply for additional delivery time.
can i get financial study assistance?
Yes. You may be eligible to apply for Centrelink Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance. You may also be eligible for a QLD Transport Travel Concession card and 20% dancewear discount card at BLOCH.
will i get work at the end of my study?
No one can ever guarantee you will be employed as a dancer. That's why we ensure all of our students have a Nationally Recognised, formal qualification to take with then when they finish. What we can guarantee, is that each graduate student will have a set of skill sets designed to best prepare them for a career in the industry, and have the paper to prove it.
